Join us, and find out how many ways Virginia Mason offers you the chance to focus on what really matters&#8212;our patients.<br/><br/>This position provides technical support under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist which includes: prescription processing/filling; answering telephones; providing customer service; handling cash transactions; managing inventory of pharmaceutical products; compounding and preparing medication and IV admixtures; triaging orders; managing the technical duties in the pharmacy to allow the pharmacist to pursue the clinical areas of pharmacy practice and ensure that optimal pharmaceutical care is provided to the patients.<br/><br/>1. Demonstrates professionalism and fosters teamwork by rigorously adhering to the standards and performance set by the pharmacy department; helps in assisting co-workers when needed, promoting good communication practices in person and via telephone.<br/><br/>2. Accurately coordinates and processes medication orders.<br/><br/>3. Abides by and follows the policies and procedures set forth by pharmacy administration.<br/><br/>4. Promotes outstanding customer service in providing pharmacy services.<br/><br/>This position requires a minimum one year related work experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to effectively solve problems; the ability to use a computer; a working knowledge of cash registers; an understanding of electronic billing of third-party insurance providers; a working knowledge of hazardous waste handling; the ability to attend to detail; and strong organizational skills.<br/><br/>Licensure requirements for this position include a Washington State Pharmacy Technician certification.<br/><br/>IV certification preferred.<br/><br/>Just as Virginia Mason is dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and our community, we are equally dedicated to your professional and personal success.
