Job Description

Virginia Mason Medical Center centrally located in downtown Seattle, Washington is recruiting a full time psychiatrist to practice at our outpatient clinic in downtown Seattle three days a week and two days at the Virginia Mason clinic on beautiful Bainbridge Island, a 20-minute ferry ride away.

The psychiatrist will be responsible for the delivery of high quality psychiatric care in an outpatient setting, Monday through Friday. Most common diagnoses treated are depression, anxiety, and ADD. The practice is primarily medication management. Excellent opportunity with primary focus on caring for patients in a collegial team environment with superb support staff, easy access to primary care and specialists, and very reasonable outpatient call coverage.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional clinician with excellent communication and team building skills with a strong commitment to patient and team-centered care. Preference given for candidates with a minimum of two years post-residency experience, able to work independently, experienced with EMRs, and enjoys working in a team environment. The ideal candidate will also support our innovative process improvement work with its focus on improving the patient experience, eliminating waste and transforming healthcare; an integral part of the Virginia Mason culture.
